 In the process of chemical production, it is often exposed to strong corrosive media such as acid, alkali, salt, organic solvent, etc., so corrosion and chemical production are always accompanied. 

Anticorrosion of buildings and structures in corrosive environments is a difficult problem in any country in the world. This type of corrosion was often neglected in the past, resulting in serious corrosion of some buildings. For example, nitric acid, ammonium nitrate, urea plant roof tiles and purlins in chemical fertilizer chemical production; workshops, floors, trestle bridges, platforms and underground structures in wet electrolysis workshops in non-ferrous metallurgy production.

 Due to the volatilization of acid mist, flying dust, running and dripping, deliquescence, etc., the building is seriously corroded. In some parts, the 10mm thick steel structure parts are corroded and cannot bear the load within a year and must be replaced.

For the corrosion protection of steel structural parts, at present, anti-corrosion coatings, plastic sticking, plastic spraying, rubber lining, glass fiber reinforced plastic wrapping, lead lining and even titanium lining are mainly used. These measures are unsatisfactory due to the low level of protection or the high cost.

With the industrial production of pultruded FRP roof profiles, FRP roof panels, and anti-corrosion FRP tiles, there is a new way to solve the corrosion problem of steel structural parts. Its high strength, light weight, and corrosion resistance can replace steel and jump into the steel structure construction and anti-corrosion fields.
